I found a cute little picture of Monster jeans and decided I could use that. The lady had of course covered a hole in the jeans by making them monsters. I had to hand sew them but all 3 turned out GREAT. The girls LOVE them.

My new Juki sewing machine!!! It's LOVE!!!

I’ve owned several embroidery and sewing machines over the years. From a vintage singer (thanks grandma) to a current embroidery/sewing singer combo Furtura Quartet. A Janome 10001 embroidery/sewing machine, BMP-8 babylock commercial embroidery machine, Brothers, and even husqvarna Diamond. Never have I owned a Juki, although I’ve started seeing janome stores carry them. Janome is my favorite machine, or was. I can now say after having a Juki sewing machine that I am in LOVE. I also own a juki serger which I LOVE too. Most important though, the juki sewing machine is the BEST machine I have encounter to date of ANY sewing machine out there.

So what makes is so special? Besides it’s all metal except a few parts, it’s light weight, and quiet. I love the needle up or down option, I love the auto needle threader, and I MOSTLY LOVE the foot peddle thread cutter!!! Just press back on your heal and it cuts your thread!!! The most smooth machine I have ever owned, My first day with my new machine I sewed for 8 hours straight!! Not to forget you can go slow or fast speeds, and lots of decorative stitches and button holes. Truly an amazing machine worth every penny I paid!

I used We R Memory Keepers funfetti paper and stickers, along with SEI buttons, and floss.
I used Accent Ess cart for the circle cut, and street sign for the yellow rectagle

October Cricut Circle Contest

When I read the October Cricut Circle Challenge I knew exactly what piece to tackle. I bought this poor wood pig cut board at the thrift store for .50cent. Knew I wanted to redo it and hang it in the Kitchen, but of course never got around to doing it. Until I read the challenge then I knew my pig was destined to be finished.

First I took my gypsy and made breakfast words all cluttered to cover my base coat of my pig. Then using contact paper I cut out the design and used the negative part to cover my pig. I spray painted my pigs words gold with glitter. Once dry I did my other cuts, and then glued it all down to my pig. To finish up the touches I added ribbon, and brass necklace with charms and two cute flowers that look like little corn stalks to me. Added just a tad bit more bling to EATS with yellow Crystals, using my imagine I print and cut out a hand making the finger point to the kitchen from the pigs nose. Now my pig is done and hanging in my kitchen.

Ok. I'm going to rant about books I like. First off I'm in the vampire romance ones right now. I love any book that is vampire and on tv or movie made books. I've read all of the true blood (sookie stackhouse books), and all of the twilight books.

and lots of sex.. LOL
oh, and yes.. most men can't write sex so I prefer women writers.

I did just finish the vampire queens servant two and wow.. nice books.. best so far.

Hampster Bite

Ok.. everyone knows my accident girl. So out of 4 people shelby was the only one who got bit yesterday. She was fine until the blood started pouring out and then it was screams. Joy to say she no longer wants a hampster.

ALL SEASONS BREAD FOOD

Ok. While at the Harker Heights Memorial Day Events we went to eat first before doing anything else. We got there at Noon, ordered our food at the All seasons Bread little food stand they had set up there. Beside the lady where you order is a thing under a heater wrapped in foil. Just like every other event outside I though you would order it and she would hand you the food from the ones in tin foil. Nope, 52 minutes later we got our order. Two burgers!!!!!!!!!!!! Nothing else. Several customers were before me and getting mad, the lady behind the counter argued that no one had been stand in line that long. Plus it was made to order, so while you are at a fair you order your food and wait till it is cooked. I don’t think made to order places should be at fairs and festivals to start with. If they are they clearly need a sign that says order 25-1 hour wait time.
What if I had diabetes and needed that food within a certain amount of time. We went to Olive Garden last night and including wait time and eating it didn’t take us 52 minutes!!! So please stay way from the ALL SEASONS BREAD food stands in and around Killeen, Harker Heights, areas at festivals and fairs. Oh, and I forgot there is no sign but NO REFUNDS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Going to the Restroom

This may sound easy to you; however if you have children you know what I’m about to say. 7 ½ years ago my first child wasn’t walking yet, and I had very peaceful trips to the bathroom to do my business like I had been doing since a very young age. I don’t think you realize how silence and cherished alone time in the bathroom is actually valuable until you no longer have it.
Present Day:
Now when I go to the bathroom I have two kids following me either fighting, in dire need of help, or needing to ask a question that can’t wait just 2 min’s before Life as we know ends. After I make it to the potty and actually sit I see two children standing in front of me, two dogs, and two cats fast approaching to explore what is happening with the white porcelain god and why water makes such lovely sounds. Depending on number one or two the room is closing in, the cats are almost to back of the toilet about to sniff my butt, the dogs desperately what to know what the cats are up to and can they do it too, somewhere in there is my children getting closer to ask a question or yell their side of the story. Which comes to this, number two happens, it’s life. I ask for just 2min’s alone in the bathroom for this. Just two.
But as a mother we all know that goes out the window when they start walking, you no longer get silence or even get read something. Not going to happen. Cats are now two feet up on the back of the toilet seat trying to see the water and wondering if a paw can come into the water anytime soon. While the dogs are getting closer to see what the cats are getting into and then you hear things from your children that at this point doesn’t shock you. “How do you pee with that fur between your legs?” During those special days of the month you get “Are you putting that thing up your BUTT?” “Why are you wearing a diaper?” Those few cherished moments are a thing of the past and with everyone watching and adding comments of EWWW, its smells like farts in here; not one animal or child has moved their position. After someone hitting the fan and covering there noses and mouths with coughing gestures the children finally leave. Now all I have to do is yell at the dogs and they leave. Which leaves the cats, and we all know cats they own you not you own them, so with a swift toss of toilet paper out the door, the cats scamper off to catch the mysterious white thing. I buy a few seconds of peace; this is my life.

Running through the house on Mothers Day Shelby fell and broke her clavical. Two hours in the ER we had a sling, and no playing and running rules for 6 weeks.
She didn't break it all the way so it should heal fast if she can't slow down and not break it all the way. To tie her shoes might help this.

wow. I cried the entire movie. My eyes are swollen along with my nose from kleenex use. Her husband dies, before he does though he writes these letters to her. They are sent to her thoughout the year. Just a tear jurker.

It made me open my hidden letter from Dan. Valentines day 2007, he asked what I wanted and I said a Home made card. Thinking it would come with fold of paper and some kid drawings on it, it did not. He bought bright pink cardstock, matching stickers and made a card. With several pages, and on each page is a hand written note of love and how much he loves me. With glitter stickers to show his feelings. That has been the BEST present from him so far. Each year he askes the same question. "what do you want?" Each year for each Holiday, birthday, etc. I say the same answer." A post it note that says I love you; although I don't think you can top that handmade card.

It is true the best gifts are made by the person you love, not bought in a store.

Boy friend is in his last weeks now. I have done everything and it is now time to replace him , I purchased a new Sony VAIO 15.4" Intel Pentium Dual-Core 1.73GHz Notebook Package at shopnbc.com on 5 month payment plan <-- love it. He is due to arrive first week in May. I just hope boyfriend will last that long, I don't think he will though.

While updating boyfriend I though I should go ahead and update Husband too since we've had him since 2003. Actually Dan's buddies made fun of our monitor when moving the house. "You do know they make smaller new ones now right?" So with that being said... I also bought a new Husband a Gateway One 19" LCD, Core 2 Duo 2GB RAM, 320GB Desktop Computer with TV Tuner and Webcam from hsn.com on flex pay too! Gota love flex pay!!! While updating everyone I went ahead and bought a new hard drive to back up too, we have one but this one is to back up and put into our fire proof safe. I realized the other day that if the house caught fire it's great we backed up picture however we would still loose them. So hopefully I have taken care of that.

Boyfriend-- My computer

Yes, I know it’s strange to name your computer boyfriend. In 2004 with our first laptop I could sit on the couch and surf the Internet, do graphic designs, and scrapbook. I spent so much time on the laptop that Dan named him boyfriend. Meaning you spend more time with your boyfriend than you do your Husband. By the way our desktop computers name is Husband. We don’t spend very much time with Husband anymore. In 2007 before Dan left for Iraq his parents bought him a new laptop computer to take with him. We named her Girlfriend. Girlfriend is now in Iraq with Dan, she allows us to chat or try to chat once a day.
The main reason of this explanation is Boyfriend is dying a slow death. After months of having to turn the power cord to get power he turned red and warning battery signs were up. I took him to Best Buy and explained boyfriends’ troubles. Knowing it’s cheaper to fix the battery than the outlet in the back of boyfriend. So when his diagnosis came back battery cables failure I was happy. I thought the batteries would be about $30 and I would get off cheap. Nope.. at check out it cost $97.88 total. I was thankful that it was just the battery though. Came home and he worked like a charm for a couple of days. Now the same thing again. And boyfriend is loosing his R key. I’m very sad boyfriend is dying his slow death. It’s hard to read emails when he flickers on and off to darkness. I’m going to stick with him till the end.

Day 3
Tuesday March 11, 2008

Today was horrible. The time change on Sunday forward one hour and the lack of sleep since Dan has been gone took it’s toll today. I got up at 6:15am and got the girls up. Moving really slow. We managed to make it to school on time, but on the way home I felt so tired I thought I would fall asleep at the wheel. I actually think I dosed off on the way home.
I came home and slept on the couch until NOON!!! OH MY!!! Forced my self to get up and make lunch and eat. After that I started on the New home post cards to send out, and then went to pick up the girls. Tonight was Science Night so we hung out at school and had dinner their. A lot of fun. We came home and the girls played outside until bedtime just about. I sat here on the couch in some trance or something. Today just needs to be over.

Day 2
Monday March 10, 2008

Wonderful day today. Got up at 5 am and took a shower and fixed hair and did make up and got ready for today. Got the girls off to school. Bowling went great. Got rid of 4 Longaberger catalogs. Went to lunch and ran into Angie and had lunch together. Got all my errands done. Wonderful day. Girls played outside while I took a 30min nap. Beth called talked with her a bit, made a great dinner and then we all went to bed. Great day.

Day 1
Sunday March 9, 2008

Since this is our first deployment, not knowing what was ahead. I didn’t cry. We said our good-byes. After getting in the van and leaving for home I started to cry. I tried to hide it from the girls but just couldn’t. 15 months is a long time, and today is day 1 of 455 days to go.
Being home was even worse. I couldn’t stop crying. My eyes hurt, my heart hurts, and the thought of doing this by myself just made me want to sleep for 15 months and not wake up. All I want to do is lay on the couch and cry and sleep. However with two little girls to take care of; I can’t. So I started in the bedroom and cleaned, slowly. To me I feel like I’m moving in slow motion; it takes 5minutes just to walk to the other side of the bed. But I keep going 1 step at a time. Even tough I have put my PJ’s on to be more comfortable. My head hurts from crying so much. Very slowly as if time is standing still I finally finish cleaning the bedroom. Every ounce of my body wants to stop and sleep. Forever maybe. I keep going slowing. On to the next room, the next thought.

We closed on our house today at 3:00pm. We now own it!!! We did one load last night via the van. Dan rents the Uhaul at 9 this morning and we will be moving some stuff today. Tomorrow I believe Dan and Brandon will be getting the big stuff. If anything is left I will get the small stuff through the rest of the weeks.

New phone number will be Wed. I will send a mass email out then with our new address and phone numbers. Loves, wendy

Sick

Ok. Wed. night I went to the ER for 6 hours for the doc to tell me I had the Flu. I told him NO way, I have a sinus infection. Anyway.. Needless to say I didn't get better because he didn't listen to me.
So I spent all day on the phone Friday to get an appointment to see a doctor. NO appointments go to er; is what I was told. Finally a nurse called me back and referred me off post for FRIDAY ONLY!!! gave me 3 clinics to see. One was walk and I made it. wheewww.

I have a sinus infection and laryngitis!! Figured I’d just pay for my prescriptions and get them off post verses waiting at the hospital. Since we were to close on our house at 3! Got my meds at 4; and can’t start ½ of them till Sat. morning. Anyway.. I finally got some sleep after 3 days and I’m feeling better; although I have NO VOICE!!!!!!!!!!! :(
